Am I able to use the song Winter Wonderland in a potential commercial? - pringles competition

I want to assure attend the Pringles jingle contest and would like that if the air in the winter wonderland, where it used to be violation of copyright? We change the text of the song was in 1935 together? If this help? Thank you for your comments.

I think the traditional Christmas songs in the standard public domain, so that you can use without copyright infringement. If you use the text or the sale, you can actually release your copyright with the permission of the owner of the original author, or in this case if there is someone their own.
